August 28th Weekly Update


"Yeah I'll be done with weapons this week easy lol" ~150 new abilities, ~40 reworks, and a lot of bugfixes later, I am once again forced to face the consequences of my own actions.

On the bright side, we did finally get to a point where I could put out the beta for weapon stuff, and (I think) everything is working. We'll see how that facade crumbles over the next few days, but in the meantime, hope yall betaing it have fun.

They may not all be perfect, but I think the new weapon ability sets have much stronger identities and are closer to what I wanted to do, where each weapon and spell school actually felt genuinely unique rather than 'what flavor of 120% damage does this do'.

Also got some nice bugfixes and UI improvements, the most important of which is probably that the ability progress menu has gotten yet more improvement and now displays far more information on a level that is... not elegant, but slowly plodding in that direction.

On other news; succubus lewd CGs, Selendis and Alicia art, and hopefully soon music are all moving along!

Haha, I wish! No, I've been working on this since last week. So about two weeks of work on them. Didn't think it'd take that long, but in retrospect, past me was an idiot for thinking it wouldn't...

You know it’s people like you that I have a lot of respect for. I mean your game isn’t famous but you put more than enough work into it and you do weekly updates. I hope you keep on working on this till it’s a masterpiece good on you for creating something soo cool. I believe that you and this game deserves way more love ❤.

Hey, thanks for the kind words! It can be rough at times, but all I can do is keep working on something I love and hope it works out in the end. I've got a lot more I want to do with the game, slowly making it look and play better as the content builds up.

If you had to guess how many can you get at this point in game in one go?

That number doesn't include manablade or greathammer or new dagger abilities, so... probably gonna be around 200 this update honestly. For reference, there were (IIRC) about 300 abilities in the game total before this update. So almost doubled, but I think the new ones are generally higher quality, have more unique descriptions, and with more of a theme to them gameplay-wise.

Well as long as the sorting for them stays good I'll be very happy.

It was actually slightly improved this update, and more info about abilities in the learning window. Not perfect yet, but getting there!
