Think it's better to make a new thread, I guess Ashley has a portrait and Sarah doesn't? After playing it a little more I've noticed one has a portrait and the other is "text box"

I've gotten as far as "everyone starts off on the big adventure (to Badon)" and I'm wondering if there's any problem with spending like 3 weeks just building everyone's trust up and learning new stuff (and sex battles with Ashley). Think it would be a good way to get skills up and trust up now, but not sure if there's a punishment to killing too much time doing so,

Correct, I started the game without a budget so I've been relying on Patreon to pay for art. Sarah's art is actually in progress now, but may not be until 0.18 depending on how schedules work out.

There's no time constraint currently. Time tracking is mostly to give some sense of duration to the adventure, though in some future content there may be time limits (ex. 7 days after you start a quest to finish it). But in general, you can just do whatever you want.

I ran across this and thought I'd go, I LOVE the writing! I haven't gotten all that far yet - the parents were just introduced to the succubus pair - but I love that you have each of the characters be fleshed out and have personalities (well, Metatron doesn't yet, but I think I can draw that out!)

The picture for Ashley and Sarah is the same, is that intentional? I was showing Ashley around the house and it showed Sarah's pic. Not sure which of them I like the most between Sam-as-female, Ashley, or Sarah. Sarah seems to be the most grounded, Ashley is talk first, think later, and Sam is just funny with her actions and wanting to act all heroic (but messing up). 

Thanks for taking the time to comment, and I'm really glad you've been enjoying it! I'm definitely aiming for each girl to be a memorable individual, glad to hear you felt it worked. Metatron has A LOT of content later on that shows her personality off more.

That Ashley/Sarah thing sounds like a bug, definitely should not be happening. I'll look into it and try to fix it before 0.17.

Ashley and Sarah both have a lot of existing and upcoming content that shows various sides of them, Sam will get more too, though aside from fire magic training she doesn't have a whole lot right now. They're all good girls, or at least good-ish hehe.

I think the main thing that I've gotten out of this so far is that the MC seems to go with whatever's happening and has a "let's just see how this works out" mentality. Sarah and Ashley compliment each other nicely, and Sam and Ashley together seems to be fun (based on the MC's "I did NOT want these two to meet" comment) There's also wanting to call Metatrom Megatron a bunch, blame that on seeingf Gen 1 Transformers a zillion times!

Ha ha, I've gotten a few Megatron comments. I suppose that's something I should have foreseen, kabbalism is a lot older but ironically far less well known than our favorite Decepticon!

Yeah, MC is somewhere between a self-insert and an actual character. Whether that was a mistake or not remains to be seen, but I'm trying to find a good balance.

Sarah and Ashley are a great combo, Sam and Ashley... yeah, they should probably never meet.

Amazingly well written, kudos to you. Fun without being overcomplicated in its 'extra systems', meaning stats and such. Truly appreciate your efforts, and look forward to your being able to add artwork/scenes as you have time and ability (yours or otherwise) to do so. Wish I had the ability to help, but sadly my artistic ability ends with only a skill to critique.

Thank you for your kind words! Patreon is doing well enough that I've been able to gradually get art commissioned, should have Celica art in the next update in 1-2 days. There are a number of previews on the discord if you want some sneak peeks.

I'm still having a blast working on the game, if anything I'm less stressed and overwhelmed than I was at the start so I can enjoy it more. So here's to a lot more scenes and more art in the future! And someday, maybe we'll even evolve beyond placeholder backgrounds. lol.

Yea saw her art she looks cute can't wait to see her full body art tho for some reason I get a fire emblem vibes from her don't know why

She's got some Awakening Robin vibes outfit-wise. Not so much on the uh, body side of things.

Or female Morgan. Yea if I remember her pop up bio right it hinted at that...er she makes up for her petite form in the chest area tho not sure if I remember it correctly

Yep, she has quite the nice body beneath that robe. Getting closer to her relationship and seeing it firsthand!

Have you thought of adding character portraits like text games like trails in tainted space? Might help immersion

Absolutely, I would LOVE to add art, both portraits and lewd scenes. Unfortunately, my personal art skills are... not great... and commissions are expensive and slow.

With that said, I am hoping to get art ingame within the next few versions!

good to hear but I don't think people will mind rough placeholder art with a disclaimer it's placeholder art and will be replaced in the future other games like reavnger do the same as well im sure some people who play the game might have some art skills who might donate some rough art for free for a call out on game credits couldn't hurt to ask I would but my art skills are also lacking 😂

Yeah, I'm gonna have to experiment with the art thing a bit. Thankfully people have been very understanding so far about the slow introduction, but I want to smash Sarah in 2d as much as the next degenerate LOL. So now that Patreon is starting to go somewhere I'm looking into artists and can start to experiment with styles, commission costs, etc.

I appreciate the suggestions, I'm slowly improving and working on my own portrait abilities so that may end up happening as fillers over time as I commission real art. Kinda wish I'd started learning art 6 months before launch instead of 2 months after, I'd love it if I could just draw everything myself. Maybe down the road lol.

Thank you for the screenshot - I will look into it. Were you using the Support ally command? Which did you pick of Sarah/Ashley? I'll do some testing and see if I can fix it, I've had a few similar reports but I THOUGHT I had fixed it... I tried to make the AI smarter with 0.3 and brought this on myself lol.

Yeah, I think I did have Sarah on support... It's so hard to believe that it's only been 15 days since release, everything's so polished and fun!

Haha, well, there were about 3 months of development before I was willing to release at all, and I got soooo much useful feedback over February that I was able to improve greatly from the... less impressive initial showing. So many bugs to squash. >_>

Regardless, it's really good to hear you're enjoying it - I just wanted to make something people could have fun with, glad it seems to be working! I check this page about once a day, you can also check the discord for daily status updates or faster responses if you're interested. Here's to hoping 0.4 lives up to your hopes as well!

Sorry to hear that. Where specifically, and what kind of errors? If you can share the error message in some way that would be very helpful.

Getting errors when fighting in the Prologue...

nice to see you well and doing your own game now. i stumbled over a single error so far (when you let ashley and sarah decide on going left or right). 

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, I've gotten a fair amount of feedback on some typos and questionable sentences I've been fixing for 0.3, having extra sets of eyes makes that stuff much easier to catch. Glad you enjoyed so far! 0.3 should be about on schedule it looks like, in the 8th-10th range.

finished reading through the current build yesterday. there are a few senteces here and there that don't make 100% sense, but its nothing major. overall its a good story and enjoyable read so far. looking forward to more

When i try to start the game i get this error message:

How odd.  I had someone report a similar error, I think the file loader gets confused if you have a lowercase 'game' in the folder directly above the game. I will figure it out and fix it in a stable manner in 0.3, but in the meantime, your main options are either; move the game up 1 level so it's not in a folder with "game", or edit startupFunctions in DivineDawn-0.2-pc\game\dawncode, replacing "if "game" not in os.getcwd():" with "else:". I could also try and send the edited file if you want to just replace it instead of editing it yourself.
