Made an account just for this, but are Gaea and all the others based off fucking Primordials from Exalted? God damn am I happy to get the reference if so. (Based off of, nothing here officer!)
The Third Circle, Second Circle, First Circle and tiers matching up is what made me catch it, im still glad to see the ideas and such out in the wild.
Oh, and the basic elements remind me of fate, or rather the stuff that fate magecraft elements were based off of and stuff. Same with Gaea.
Cool that the kabballah references are somewhat correct given my own understanding on that topic too - fun fact, Kether is 'visible god' to Ayin 'Invisible God', and Ayin would metaphorically be a few steps above. As far as it was explained to me.
Sorry for gushing about the world building but its just cool to see someone use ideas and knowledge from franchises I recognize. Especially since several times when worldbuilding myself and making a fantasy setting I shameless stole those same ideas. just because they are so cool.
There are definitely some Exalted references! The circles of souls are the big one, though there's a mention of warstriders as well. I tried not to obviously base each goddess on anything, they're more-or-less unique to the setting, or at least I hope so.
There's some Fate blood here as well, and a lot of inspiration from IRL alchemical concepts.
I spent a lot of time researching the kabbalah, and it's generally pretty accurate, with some tweaks to fit the setting. Ayin is related to Ein Soph Aur, which is namedropped ingame. There will be more of the tree of death later.
I joke sometimes that this whole project was just an excuse to worldbuild, so it's always cool to see people enjoy it!
This has been a test of the emergency headpat system. If this had been an actual emergency, Metatron would have been patting Maya's head already and Ashley would demand equal time, or something.
Anyway, hoping things are well. In going through Ashley's "date" with the MC (when she gets a new outfit) I can't help thinking "Ashley + Sam = chaos" given they seem to do a pretty good job on their own and when you pair them together...
Going through the "report to Selendis" again, kind of feels like Ina fled because she wanted to learn more and not coast, and maybe not be "oh you are X's daughter" but her own person. Although she may have burned a bridge by fleeing the way she did... "Hi Mom, I fled from responsibility and found a friend/beau, aren't things great?!"
Things are improving on my end, got a Metatron scene done that I really liked. I really want to do a Sarah date, but idk if I want to write 3 h scenes in one event, lmao, she would be a dangerous girlfriend. Sam and Ashley is an interesting pair, not sure how they would interact but there's one way to find out!
That was the general vibe I was going for with Ina, wanting to move out of her mother's shadow and learn more to actually be ready for when she becomes queen. She, Asta, and the upcoming Alicia all have a similar issue - growing up in the shadow of someone that seems unassailably perfect to them. Ina's mom is... definitely not going to be happy, but as long as Ina doesn't die in the process she'll get over it, lmao.
Just assumed you were busy writing and making sure things made sense. Still, wanted to check in, and figured "headpat emergency" would work! Regarding some of the lesser characters (Charles from the Banon Church, and the shopkeeper Olivia) are you going to get art for them eventually? I'm fully aware "minor character picture" is down the list for things to do/get art for, but I do like the pictures instead of text.
Do wonder, since both Selendis and Ina are really impressed with Astaroth, if they both are gonna knight him, or if one knights him the other can't, or there's going to be a playful rivalry between them because of Astaroth... eh, what's a few more awkward situations for him?
Hey there! Yes, I hope to get art of them eventually. I have a few sketches, especially for Olivia, but no final art. It will happen eventually(tm). Probably when Olivia gets more content, lol.
He can be knighted by both! (and a husband to both). Alicia and Ina will definitely have some rivalries though, and perhaps competition...
on demo, if enemy and allies both have "riposte" effect like the water magic mirror skill, any attack will cause infinite recursion (and thus have renpy throw error screen)
